My Approach

The popular solution to common health issues these days is to isolate conditions and treat local symptoms individually. Medications are often prescribed to alleviate the symptoms of many lifestyle related illnesses (such as obesity, inflammation and diabetes). Separation of the health condition or illness from the whole body and treating it with drugs is what causes imbalance and side effects to occur. My progressive, drug-free approach involves working with each client to create a healthy, balanced life in every way possible. This is achieved in a flexible, fun, and rewarding way. I practice a whole body concept to health and wellness, which means that I look at how all areas of your life are connected. To understand a little more about my approach, please ask yourself the following questions:

  • Does stress at your job or in your relationship cause you to overeat?
  • Does lack of sleep or low energy prevent you from exercising?
  • Have you put aside your spiritual/inspirational connection and practice due to a lack of time?
  • Do you find yourself eating when you are not hungry?
  • What feelings and emotions come up for you when you overeat or binge eat?

Veggies, fruits, and whole grains deliver vitamins and antioxidants for improved health. It takes takes much more than what is on your plate to live a happier, healthier life such as: friends, lovers, and family. I truly believe that healthy loving relationships can help with fighting illness and depression, speed recovery, slow aging, and prolong life. In my health coaching approach, you will learn how to safely replace chemical junk foods with natural and organic foods. You will also be empowered to replace the relationships which impact you negatively, by manifesting healthy, positive relationships that inspire you instead.

Physical Foods
The food that we put into our body serves as our physical nourishment. It sustains us and keeps us alive by providing the elements of nutrition we need to survive. From food, we get our macronutrients and micronutrients plus all of the energy we need to live and work. This type of food is in a physical form that we ingest into our body. Most people know that it is very important to consume a healthy balanced diet for optimal health and well-being. What a lot of people don’t know when it comes to living a healthy and balanced life, is that physical food is actually secondary when it comes to living a healthy and balanced life.

Non-Physical Foods
Emotional, mental, and spiritual health are all huge contributors to how you eat. When it comes to living a balanced life, I consider these types of non-physical elements a primary form of nutrition because they directly influence how you eat. Someone who is authentically happy with their life is going to eat much differently than someone who is miserable or hates themself. The sedentary overweight person, who sits on the couch watching TV for hours a day, will have a different diet than the active overweight person, who takes an hour walk every day. Likewise, a person forcing themself to stay in a miserable relationship will have different eating habits than someone who is in a genuine, loving relationship. Many people tend to either lash out at their loved ones or stuff their face with junk food as soon as they get home from a bad day at work.

Health Beyond the Food you Eat
All aspects of career, relationship, physical activity, community, spirituality and even thinking patterns have a profound effect on what we eat, how we eat and why we eat the way we eat. Since our mental, emotional, and spiritual health is a non-physical form of nourishment, it is vastly overlooked. Most doctors do not have the time to spend with each and every patient. This unfortunately prevents them from giving the undivided listening attention needed to properly diagnose and effectively treat common non-physical conditions. This is the main reason why medication is overprescribed in the United States.

Human beings are hungry, starving actually, but not for food. There is a deeper desire that needs to be met and it has nothing to do with the physical food you eat. I would like for you to think and feel how satisfied you truly are in the following areas of your life:

  • Career, education, and success
  • Art and music
  • Play, fun, and touch
  • Romance, intimacy, and love
  • Self-expression and leadership
  • Excitement and adventure
  • Spirituality and higher-learning

All these areas are essential aspects of non-physical nourishment and are key elements in my approach to health coaching. How you choose to incorporate them into living a healthy and balanced life determines how enjoyable and worthwhile your life will be. As we work together, we will look at how all parts of your life affect your health as a whole. It’s rare for anyone to get an hour to work on their nutrition and health goals with a trained professional.
